PORT TOWNSEND — East Jefferson Fire Rescue will conduct a firefighter training house burn at 31 Cook Ave., on Saturday.

They will be joined by State Patrol crime lab technicians who will conduct forensics experiments in the house before it is burned to the ground.

The structure donated for the burn is the site of a prior structure fire in late 2011.

Firefighters will receive live-fire training through this exercise, the department said in a prepared statement.

Crime lab representatives will conduct experiments similar to those at recent training burns on Sheridan and Sixth streets.
