PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Arts Council wants to hear from Port Angeles.

The volunteer council, now in its fourth year, will hold a public brainstorming session at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Studio Bob, 118 E. Front St.

During the meeting, community members will be encouraged to share ideas for programs and events to support the local arts scene.

The council, whose mission is to nurture the arts as an essential ingredient for high quality of life in Port Angeles, takes part in local festivals as well as the Second Weekend Art Walks downtown.

The council also advised the city of Port Angeles during the planning phase of the downtown waterfront improvement project.

In addition to this Wednesday's forum, all Port Angeles residents are encouraged to come to the council's meetings every first Wednesday of the month.
