News release from the city of Port Angeles:

PORT ANGELES — On June 19, 2013, Police Chief Terry Gallagher administered the oath of office and swore in Officer Kyle Cooper, the newest member of the Port Angeles Police Department.

Officer Cooper is a 2012 graduate of the 18-week Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission Basic Law Enforcement Academy.

He is also a lateral transfer from the Yakima Washington Police Department where he served since May of 2012. Officer Cooper was born and raised in Placerville, California and attended Sierra College in Rocklin, California, where he earned an Administration of Justice Degree.

“We are very proud to have Officer Kyle Cooper join the Port Angeles Police Department team of law enforcement professionals,” Deputy Chief Brian Smith.
