PORT TOWNSEND — In a concert titled “September Serenade,” soprano Linda Bach and mezzo-soprano Nancy Grunewald will offer art songs, duets and opera pieces at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker St., this Saturday.

Admission to the 7:30 p.m. performance is a suggested $10 donation. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

The women will sing in English, French, Russian and German, and range from the “Flower Duet” from Delibes’ “Lakme” opera to “La Regata Veneziana,” a Rossini duet about a Venetian boat race.

Pianists Helen Lauritzen and Caroline Germain will accompany the singers as they continue their travels to Grieg’s “Margretes Vuggesang,” Rusalka’s “Song to the Moon” and “To Vienna,” a duet by waltz king Johann Strauss.

Bach is known for her work with Port Townsend’s RainShadow Chorale, Summertime Singers and Threshold Singers, while Grunewald has been a featured soloist with the Idaho-Washington Concert Chorale and is an active recitalist across the Pacific Northwest.

Lauritzen, the retired founder of the Seattle Peace Chorus, has sung with the RainShadow Chorale and accompanied many other local singers and players; Germain has performed in and around Pullman as well as with the Portland (Ore.) Opera Chorus and Portland Philharmonic Chorale.
