Port Townsend High School students pick top three selections for new mascot name to replace Redskins

PORT TOWNSEND — The results of a student vote on a new mascot name to replace Redskins at Port Townsend High School were announced this morning by the high school.

The top three: Rip Tide, Red Hawks and Sasquatch.

Tuesday's student vote was a primary of sorts; a final election among the three names will be taken after spring break, the high school announced on its Facebook page.
