THERE'S SO MUCH to see at both North Olympic Peninsula county fairs this month, so the possibilities you have with our online County Fair Photo Contest are virtually endless.

Here's your chance to share your photos of spectacular fun, great exhibits, entertaining shows, high-action carnival, cute animals — or whatever your camera “sees” at the Jefferson County Fair this weekend and the Clallam County Fair next weekend — and be in the running for three prizes in the process.

The three winning photos (determined by online voting that starts Aug. 24) will earn prizes from Fine Art Photography from Ernest, First Federal, Dr. Richard E. Davies, DDS, and 7 Cedars Casino.

Winners will be announced Sept. 4.

Entering is easy: Go to .

If you're not already registered, you'll need to click on “Register Now,” follow the simple steps and post your photo.

The contest is free, but only residents of Clallam County or Jefferson County can enter. And the entrant must be older than 13 years; parents can submit photos taken by their children age 12 and younger.

All entries must be submitted digitally on the web — sorry, no entries by mail or in person.

The deadline for entries is Sunday, Aug. 24, at 11:59 a.m.

Online voting to enable the public to determine the winning photos begins at noon that day.

The contest is sponsored by Peninsula Daily News, Sequim Gazette and Forks Forum.
